Happy mailbox

Last week I got one postcard from Taiwan. Postcards from Taiwan are really my favorite, because senders make both sides of postcards pretty.

And on Friday I suddenly got some postcards and two letters: one from my friend in Paris and other from my penpal from UK.

I'm totally happy!

NB sometimes I wonder why are there always cats hair on my photos?!

Mailboxes

I`m a fun of mailboxes. I envy people who have their own houses because they can have the mailbox which they really want. As for me I have one of the ugly postboxes - grey.
brrrr!

I wish I could have something nice, for example like this:

But still I don`t have my own house... I have to enjoy what I have. But if they allowed me to color it or make it nicer...but no, it is not allowed :(

Paris

I am not actually a fan of Paris, but I respect this city and the fact that I have a person who loves and knows Paris makes me feel free and happy there. I walked a lot a sure bought some postcards.

Income

On Thursday I finally got some mail from postcrossing. It was just in time because on Friday I went to Paris to visit my friend who lives there. So I was happy to know that I leave my mailbox empty and ready for new incomes

Maybe new friends

Yesterday I sent some mail again, but my mailbox was still empty. It happens because at the post they collect and keep post till there would be lots of it to go to our area with :(

I sent some postcards for postcrossing and two letters which should be surprises to the receivers :)

Some post out today

Fortunately I work near the main post-office in Moscow, so I can use their postboxes and hope that my mail goes faster :)
This postbox is not from there, but they are standart.

I have sent several cards and two letters to some nice still unknown persons from sendsomething.net

Links

I`m really happy to have an opportunity to find out new people for exchanging postcards and letters.
Postcrossing was the first project where I got address through Internet, but then I joined sendsomething.net and bookcrossig.com.
Three ways of sharing things through mail: postcards, letters and books. What a joy!

Postcrossing made me postcards-addicted and now I`m searching for the great ones everywhere:

I like to send potcards from my journeys to my friends and to myself. And now some of my friends started to follow my example and send me postcards, for example this prove-photo of sending me letter from Ukranian trip:

The sad thing is that for the reason I don`t know postmen don`t really like to bring post to my area, so in the best case I get mail once in three-four days, but my mailbox is overfilled. But as for me it is much more pleasant t get one day a day then lots of them after several days without news.
My last postcrossing incomings:

And today I have prepared only one outcoming letter for the girl whose address I got as a random search on sendsomething.net.

But three of my travelling 22 postcards via postrossing have reached their destinations so I can send more postcards as well :)

PenPals

As I can remember my first letters were sent to my friend with whom we we spending summer holidays in the countryside. We were sharing some thoughrs about school and so on. Now I understand that in fact she lives in 20 minutes by bus from my place. But we stoped to write letters because phones come. But I still don`t like talking by phone.
But now this girl lives in Paris and I am in Moscow area, so I can send her letters and cards again.

The era of permanent pen-friends came when I got internet connection. My longest paper-relationships :) were with three people: Dee from UK, Abass from Ghana and Anna Maria from Italy.
Unfrotunately Dee has gone. I still don`t know why and if something had happened with her, but I was really sad and rote to her many letters without an answer.
But Abass and Anna Maria stayed with me and we are still friends but mostly via e-mail. I love them very much! But e-mail doesn`t have its magic like ordinary post has. I`m still very happy when I get some stuff from Anna Maria like tea or books.
So I try to find more friends to share sweet moments of dicovering that your post-box is full of letters and postcards again.

Go

So... Just to begin...

My name is Maria and I have stolen the idea of posting my mail to my blog from many people whose blogs I`m watching.
I think the idea is marvelous because sometimes I get so gorgeous piece of mail art that it would be a crime to keep it just in my table.
I`m not an artist myself, but I love to make sweet and beautiful presents and letters to my penpals.
We`ll see what it will be.
